In 2008, London event series Wifey was created as a means to play bassline house music, which tended to occur in grim Dalston basement clubs, and still does. Over the next 2 years the nights have kept coming, embracing all forms of the UK's constantly mutating club music culture, though occasionally staggering out into venues with slightly better lighting.
Since early 2010, I have been working with founders Ralph Cowling and Robin Howells on continuing these events. So I guess that makes me a third of the project.
As of September 2010, Wifey has a monthly residency at Dalston's best venue, The Alibi.
