Event series & online exhibition - In collaboration with photographer Ashlie Sky.
An interactive event was organised around the simple subjective qualifier ’The Best/Worst’, incorporating audience participation, comedy, music and photography.
During DJ sets the audience were encouraged to submit anonymous accounts of ‘best’ and ‘worst’ experiences, with myself as compere reading selections out at a regular intervals. The results quickly transformed into a group-effort comedy show.
Resident photographer Ashlie Sky added a visual parallel with live portrait photography of audience members’ lion and lemon faces for projection and online exhibiting via our website.
DJs also competed in an original competitive soundclash concept - hunting through each others’ collections for the best and worst records their opponent owned. These were then played out in a competitive battle, the performers given a microphone to entertain us with their arguments.
